About the Mediators

WE CAN HELP

Mediation is a way to work things out, privately and safely.

When issues are shared from every possible angle, a positive and constructive outcome is certain.

Laurie Reid

Deborah Brusco, J.D., has been a mediator since 1995. She has served the community of Yolo County, as well as Sacramento County in this capacity for as long. Many years of community, interpersonal relationship, business mediation, and advanced training have given Deborah a well-rounded education in helping others work through their differences.

Deborah enjoys facilitating individuals toward their own agreements, by putting the power back in their hands. She finds pleasure in the transformation that comes over people when they have finally been heard and are able to relax and move forward to finding the solutions for their disputes. Deborah also works with the Yolo County Superior Court as a mediator. She has further training in Victim-Offender Reconciliation Program Mediator (VORP) mediation as well.

David Constante is a mediator who has served the community as a teacher, personal growth facilitator and peacemaker. In the role of peacemaker, he has worked for Native American tribes, the prison system and restorative justice organizations. He started as a Victim-Offender Reconciliation Program Mediator (VORP) and was assigned to conduct the first Family Group Conference (FGC) for VORP in Mendocino County, California.

David has expanded his knowledge and has been certified as a Transformative and Community Mediator (Sacramento Mediation Center) and FGC Coordinator. He is a seasoned mediator and has passion for his service.

Nancy J. Milton of Progress Mediation has been a mediator since 1991, with over 150 hours of training in Family and Business Mediation. An attorney since 1994, she is a member of the mediation panels of the Third District Court of Appeal, Sacramento County Superior Court, Yolo County Superior Court, the Association of Conflict Resolution, and National Association for Community Mediation.

Upon discovering mediation and its benefits during law school, she decided that she would practice law with an emphasis on mediation offering her clients a better way to resolve their disputes without the often lengthy and costly experience of litigation. She is a sensitive, caring mediator who will help elders and their families move forward and make progress.

Laurie Reid is a mediator, vocational counselor, and founding partner of A Positive Resolution Vocational Rehabilitation and Mediation Services. Laurie has earned a masters degree in career counseling, completed basic mediation training through the Sacramento Mediation Center, and has advanced training in resolving workplace disputes involving individuals with disabilities through the Institute for ADA Mediation.

Laurie now dedicates a majority of her practice to conflict resolution specializing in elder care mediation issues.
